ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Correspondence was received from the Grand Master confirming that the Grand Lodge Officers will attend a Rededication of Hinsdale Lodge to be held on September 24, 2011 to celebrate the Lodge’s 100th Anniversary. Bro. Secretary confirmed and this date is fixed for the 100th Anniversary celebration.
ANNUAL MEETING AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS:
Whereupon the Master, noting that the time for the Annual Meeting and Election of Officers had arrived, dispensed from the Stated Meeting and took up the Annual Meeting and Election of Officers. The Secretary made note of the Hinsdale Bylaws relating to the Annual Election of Officers and noted that a separate and secret ballot was indicated. However, the Lodge Bylaws are specifically stated to be subject to the Grand Lodge Constitution and Bylaws, and the Grand Lodge provisions for Election of Officers provide for a waiver of balloting and election by acclamation where there is only one Brother suggested for a position without a contest or other suggestion.
Whereupon, Wor. Bro. John “Bill” Stannard suggested Bro. Jay Alfirevic for the office of Master of the Lodge for the ensuing Masonic year. There being no other suggestion, and Bro. Alfirevic stating that he would accept the suggestion and office, he was elected Master by acclamation.
Whereupon Bro. Jay Alfirevic suggested Bro. Arthur C. Tancl, III for the office of Senior Warden for the ensuing Masonic year. There being no other suggestion, and Bro. Tancl stating that he would accept the suggestion and office, was elected Senior Warden by acclamation.
Whereupon Bro. Tancld suggested Bro. Steven Towne for the office of Junior Warden for the ensuing Masonic year. There being no other suggestion, and Bro. Towne stating that he would accept the suggestion and office, was elected Junior Warden by acclamation.
Whereupon Bro. Jay Alfirevic suggested Wor. Bro. O. Perry Steward for the office of Treasurer for the ensuing Masonic year. There being no other suggestion, and Bro. Steward stating that he would accept the suggestion and office, was elected Treasurer by acclamation.
Whereupon Bro. Alfirevic suggested Wor. Bro. Steven B. Bashaw for the office of Secretary for the ensuing Masonic year. There being no further suggestion, and Bro. Bashaw stating that he would accept the suggestion and office, he was elected Secretary by acclamation.
Whereupon Bro. Steven M. Towne suggested Bro. David Lange for the office of Senior Deacon for the ensuing Masonic Year. There being no further suggestion, and Bro. Lange stating that he would accept the suggestion and office, was elected Senior Deacon by acclamation.
Whereupon Bro. David Lange suggested Bro. Timothy Blythe for the Office of Junior Deacon and Bro. Blythe stating that he would accept the suggestion and office, he was elected Junior Deacon by acclamation.
Whereupon Bro. Alfirevic announced the following appointments for the ensuing Masonic year:
